Client was looking to expand into emerging markets to take advantage from the strong rebound in earnings post Covid and engaged Wilshire to quickly ramp up their research capacity
Wilshire’s Input
- A stock screening exercise was carried out for three large economies adopting a top down approach to short list equities, that met fundamental criteria set by the client, e.g. growth, margins, industries, ranges of valuation multiples and risk profiles
- Company primers were prepared for shortlisted stocks including salient factors. At the same time, Wilshire analyst team started covering catalyst events such as earnings, M&A and other special situations relating to these stocks.
- Helped client gather historical data and industry stats to start building financial models.
- Wilshire team followed a comprehensive quality control process that resulted in delivering research output with high accuracy.
Outcome
Client is looking to expand the scope of the assignment by engaging Wilshire team to build and maintain financial models to extend the coverage. This allows the client team to concentrate on more value added tasks.
